In this new working context, this workshop is divided into two main blocks:

Block I: We will analyse the main aspects of VR/MR that redefine the User Experience or UX, how this represents a new paradigm and which of these aspects can lead a project to resounding success... or to absolute failure.

Block II: Starting from a hands-on project, we will run through some of the main stages of the new VR design process. We will begin with scenario design and then move on to interaction design.

Throughout the workshop, activities will be run to encourage discussion and debate.

Building bridges between industry and research

Building bridges between industry and research

Daniel Lobo

Working in a technologically cutting-edge field like virtual reality offers the chance to flirt with the research world, continually challenging the industry's not-yet-settled foundations.

The boundary between the two worlds is blurred, and within it an interesting ecosystem of cooperation takes shape in which industry and research feed off each other. It is common to find companies seeking solutions to complex problems and universities seeking to integrate into the industrial fabric.

This situation raises the need for a collaboration that will give the companies involved a pioneering technological advance, potentially setting them apart from their competitors.

The talk will focus on how to identify these situations and how to try to take advantage of them properly in the context of virtual reality, and will be accompanied by real cases of connecting with companies such as Facebook, Unity, Disney or Next Limit.
